Iraq is in a period of intense growth. More and more people are able to receive health care treatment, and many other needed services for the first time. Once you have started attending medical school, and gone through several years of training you will be assigned an internship. This internship will most likely be assisting another doctor in their practice. However, some interns are lucky enough to work at major hospitals in cities such as Baghdad or another large city around Iraq. Working at these hospitals will allow you to learn more about different medical problems that you might encounter and further help you understand what to do in difficult medical situations.

Deciding to be a doctor is a decision that should not be made lightly. If you chose to become a doctor in Iraq you may have a person's life on your hands on a daily basis.
